Natural remedies for cleaning cookware



There cleaning of the pots it's not a welcome task at all! Indeed, it often becomes a tough job to be able to remove those unsightly encrustations. Natural remedies to clean cookware, eco-recipes

  • The bicarbonate

Baking soda is very effective in cleaning any type of cookware, both ceramic and non-stick. If, even after washing in the dishwasher, the pot still has burnt spots, here's how to proceed:
Take a bowl and pour in very hot water and a few tablespoons of baking soda in the proportion of one tablespoon for every 500ml of water then put the pot and let it soak for about an hour
After the time has elapsed, take the pot and gently scrub with a sponge to remove the encrusted parts
If the stains persist, spread some baking soda directly on the pot and rub immediately with a wet sponge.
In both cases, it is best to use only soft sponges to avoid damaging the ceramic or the anti-adhesion of the pot.

  • The vinegar

As an alternative to baking soda, we can use white wine vinegar. Also in this case, this remedy is effective for any type of pot, even against burnt stains.
Here's how to proceed:
Place the pot in a bowl, cover the entire surface to be encrusted with white vinegar
and let it rest for about half an hour
After the time has elapsed, rinse with hot water then wash the pot as usual

How to clean copper pans
Prepare a mixture with the following ingredients: tablespoon of flour, 150 ml of vinegar, the juice of one lemon, 150 ml of hot water and a tablespoon of salt
Pour all the ingredients into a bowl and mix well
Pour the mixture on the copper pot and rub gently with a soft sponge until the stains and halos are removed
Rinse with water and natural soap and dry immediately

Useful tips: avoid washing aluminum pans in the dishwasher as they will be damaged in the long run and become harmful to health. Only use natural remedies for their cleaning.

How to remove limescale stains from pots
In a bowl, pour very hot water with lemon juice. Take the pressed lemon, dip it in the solution and rub it all over the pot; both inside and outside. Rinse with lukewarm water and dry the pot immediately with a microfibre cloth.
