There turnip root it is particularly rich in vitamins, sugars and mineral salts. If you grate it and let it soak in milk sweetened with honey, you will have an excellent natural cough syrup and an adjuvant in case of bronchitis.
Turnip syrup. In addition to cough milk, you can make yourself a very good one turnip syrup. Do this: dig one very deep turnip rather large and fill the cavity with candied sugar or honey. At this point, place the turnip on a glass and wait for the syrup to pass through the pulp by itself.
