Dried flower drying techniques: there are many techniques for drying fresh flowers, starting with the press, drying in the sun, drying with salts and in the microwave.

Not all flowers are suitable for drying: orchids, tulips and all those flowers that have very fleshy petals and are rich in water are not very suitable. Instead, roses, hydrangeas, peonies, long-stemmed flowers, mimosa, violets are flowers that can be dried with excellent results. How to dry fresh flowers in the microwave
One more techniqueenergy-consuming, but certainly faster, provides fordrying of flowersin the microwave. The procedure lasts one minute.

LOOK PHOTOS TO DRY THE FLOWERS

To dry the flowers in the microwave you will need a particular press that can be purchased (the price for a good press fordrying the flowersin the microwave safely is about 30 euros) or homemade with thedo-it-yourself.

Material needed for the self-production of a press that can be safely inserted in the microwave:

  • 4 pieces of rigid cardboard and thick like the cardboard of the take-away pizza or that of the shoe boxes.
  • 4 absorbent kitchen paper towels, not colored.
  • 2 rubber bands
  • Fresh flowers, petals and leaves to dry

Create a sandwich where the heart is made up offlowers to be dried, immediately covered by the two layers of absorbent paper in turn covered by the rigid cards. Close the sandwich with the two rubber bands. Place the press in the microwave. The first "cooking "finish it after 30 seconds and check: if everything is dry, well remove theflowers, otherwise stop the press again and insert it for another 30 seconds. Before removing the flower from the press, wait until it is completely dry.
