Rosemary essential oil should never be used pure on the skin or scalp. Before starting any topical treatment with this essential oil, it will need to be diluted in a carrier oil. Any vegetable oil is fine, even olive oil, as long as you do not use pure rosemary essential oil which could cause severe skin irritation.
